Chettinad Mushroom Masala

Spicy yummylicious Chettinad style Mushroom masala!!
This is one of most spiciest masalas. Chettinad cuisine is  famous for its non vegetarian food. Made a super yummy mushroom masala perfect with rice and Indian breads.
What you need to grind to paste: Recipe inspired from Spice India!!
5 nos - Red chillies
2 tbsp - Coriander seeds
1 tsp - Black pepper corns
½ tsp - Cumin seeds
½ tsp - Fennel seeds
1 tsp - Poppy seeds
1 tsp - Split roasted gram/pottukadalai
1 small piece each- Cardamom, Clove, Cinnamon stick, Mace, Star anise, Nutmeg powder
3 tsp - Dry coconut flakes
5 nos - Shallots 
½ inch - Ginger
3 cloves - Garlic
1 sprig - Curry leaves
¼ tsp - Turmeric powder

Fot the gravy:
1 pkt - Button mushrooms (cleaned, stems removed and chopped finely)
1 no - Tomato (diced)
1 no - Green chilli 
1 no - Bay leaf
1 sprig - Curry leaves
3 stks - Coriander leaves (chopped for garnishing)
Salt as reqd
3 tbsp - Oil
How to make:
Dry roast and grind the ingredients list 1 to a fine paste and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan add bay leaves, green chilli and curry leaves saute well and add mushrooms. Now add the masala mix them well add tomatoes, salt and if reqd add dash of water cover and cook until the oil separates.

Add coriander leaves and switch off and serve hot.
