Healthy ragi biscuits for a evening snack with cup of masala chai ..perfect rejuvenation after a hectic day from work ..
Recipe - Inspired from Priya's blog
What you need:
½ cup – Ragi Flour
½ cup – Whole Wheat Flour
2 tbsp - Olive oil
1 tsp - Red chilly flakes
1 tsp – Dry thyme and parsley leaves
½ tsp - Ajwain seeds
¼ tsp - Flax seeds
½ tsp – White Sesame seeds
2 tbsp - Fresh Coriander(chopped)
½ tsp - Salt
2 tbsp - Yogurt
2 - 3 tbsp - Water
How to make:
Preheat the oven to 350F or 220C line baking sheet over a baking tray and keep aside.
In a bowl mix all the ingredients except water to rough dough then add water little by little and make it into soft dough.
Roll the dough into thick disc and cut into desired shapes with cookie cutter and place them over the baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes immediately remove them and cool on wire rack. Once it cools down stock in air tight container.
Enjoy with a cup of masla chai…
For Masala Chai:
1/2 cup - Milk
1/2 cup - Water
1 tsp - Tea powder / 2 Tea bags
1/2 tsp - Everest Masala tea mix
1 tsp - Sugar
Boil water add tea powder and tea masala and boil for another couple of mins now add milk and sugar and reduce the flame to slow fire once it starts boiling switch it off strain it and enjoy!!

ReplyDeleteI hardly have ragi now. But I remember how I loved the ragi drink that was made every summer as a kid. So I guess these biscuits would be as tasty. We are getting readymade Brittania ones in the market which I was planning to buy.
