Adai is one of my fav tiffin. Made this adai with cholam and kaikauthal arisi which provides with all the high rich fibre, protein and energy.
What you need:
1 cup - Cholam / Sorghum
1 cup - Kaikuthal Arisi / Brown Rice
Uradh dhal - 1/2 cup
Thoor dhal - 1/4 cup
Channa Dhal - 1/4 cup
Moong Dhal - 1/4 cup
Pepper corns - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chillies - 5 nos
Salt as reqd
Asafoetida pinch
Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
Onion - 1 no, finely chopped
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
How to make:
Soak ingredients 1 - 9 for 4 hours and drain the water and grind to coarse batter adding little water.
