BELLAM TALIKALU PAYASAM / WHEAT NOODLES PAYASAM

This Ganesh Chaturthi m going gaagaa over Andhra m sorry its Telangana n Seemandhra state delicacies.. tis is one yummy n def a unique payasam made of wheat noodles or talikalu. 

Made these wheat noodles from scratch using murruku pressing machine... these are something similar to wheat spaghettis.. I remember watching tis recipe on Abhiruchi cookery show couple of years back.. finally it came into action!!
What you need:
Wheat noodles /talikalu - 1 cup (make dough using 1 cup wheat flour with a pinch of salt and made into soft dough)
Jaggery  - 1 cup, soaked in 1/2 cup water and sieved 
Milk -  1 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Nuts n Dry fruits as reqd
How to make:
In a pan heat water with a dash of oil and get em to boil. Add noodles and cook for approx 5 - 7 mins or until done remove from water and cool it.

In a pan add ghee roast nuts n dry fruits until golden and remove aside. In the same pan pour jaggery water and boil until u get one string consistency. 

Bring to low flame add milk, noodles, cardamom powder and bring to medium boil and switch off the flame.

Add the nuts n dry fruit n offer to Lord!!
